Beaune Premier Cru Clos du Roi
Chardonnay
Pinot Noir
Total surface area: 2.70 ha
Orientation: East
Origin of the name: It refers to King Louis XI of France who took the city and annexed vineyards in Beaune and Corton.
Galet subsoil covered with sand, clay and stones – from the alluvial cone of Savigny-lès-Beaune - which develops a quick ripeness. Red wines offer floral notes, a delicate structure, smoothness, smooth and spicy tannins. As for the chardonnays, they provide structure and delight to the white Beaune Bastion.
